Wan Chai’s beloved French bistro jean may will be shuttering this spring as announced by the restaurant on Instagram on Jan. 3.

Serving their last customers on Mar. 22, the five-year-old restaurant closes amidst a changing hospitality landscape in Hong Kong.

During the last three months of service, chef and founder Tiff Lo will bring the restaurant’s classic dishes to the menu for guests to enjoy a final time.

“This decision was not an easy one to make as to me, jean may is not just another french food addition to my home city of [H]ong [K]ong,” read a statement from the restaurant’s Instagram page.

“jean may houses all the memories of the roller coaster rides of running a restaurant and all the people who have walked through the door who have touched our lives and whose lives we have had the privilege to be a part of, some of whom have become like family.”
