With variations on mulled wine high on the hit list, Hong Kong’s top bars and restaurants have gone all out to design creative tipples to get us in a jolly state of mind. 1. Honky Tonks Tavern
Soho favourite Honky Tonky Tavern has revived its popular mulled wine (HKD85), a cosy mix of bourbon, spiced rum, chestnut, fruits, and house spices, along with the introduction of a winter-inspired cocktail menu courtesy of general manager Jake Erder that gives us the Christmas feels. Spritzi Boy (HKD110) is a festive gem, a fizzy cosmo/mojito hybrid made with gin, Cointreau, lime, cranberry, grapefruit, mint, and a splash of bubbles.

2. La Petite Maison (LPM)
La Petite Maison is getting cheeky with its dedicated “Festive Season: Naughty & Spiced” seasonal cocktails this December. On the naughty side, La Pistache (HKD148) is a twist on the classic espresso martini with notes of coffee, honey, and chocolate, topped off with pistachio foam. In contrast, there’s Le Chalet (HKD148), a luxurious riff on mulled wine crafted with Rémy Martin VSOP cognac and rooibos tea.

3. Lobby Bar, Hopewell Hotel
Celebrating its first anniversary in Wan Chai this December, Hopewell Hotel’s Lobby Bar is offering an impressive selection of six Christmas drinks (HKD98 each) to mark the occasion in affordable style, on the menu from Dec. 16. We’re particularly fond of the pink and fizzy Snow Bubble, featuring a base of strawberry purée and rose syrup infused with Prosecco and lime. If you prefer something hot, BMW stands out with its rich blend of Baileys, milk, white crème de menthe, and white crème de cacao.

4. Rajasthan Rifles
To accompany your Indian feast at Rajasthan Rifles, brace yourself with a mug of spiked masala chai (HKD78). In this boozy version of masala chai crafted with Darjeeling tea and the warming spices of cardamom and ginger, a healthy shot of Old Monk rum is added to the mix. For HKD108, you can pair your drink with the restaurant’s roasted chestnut treat and get the full comfy package.

5. Bar Q88
Bar Q88 at JW Marriott Hotel is enticing Christmas revellers to its sophisticated watering hole to sip on one (or both) of its holiday libations, available from Dec. 11. The bar’s mulled wine (HKD145) recipe is aromatic with clove, star anise, lime, and cinnamon. A lighter and more refreshing option is Jingle Bird (HKD145), which combines gin with hibiscus, elderflower, cranberry, and lemon.

6. Terrible Baby
Moving over to Eaton HK in Jordan, Terrible Baby’s duo of festive drinks this year are just as inventive as anticipated by the award-winning bar. Ho Ho Ho Mulled Wine (HKD110) is first up for your sipping consideration, a soul-soothing union of Ratafia Rossi cherry wine, red wine, orange, honey, and Christmassy spices. On the sparkling front, Jingle Bell Fizz (HKD130) features apple-infused Michter’s whisky, bubbly, and upcycled mulled wine spice cordial.

7. The St. Regis Bar
The St. Regis Bar has upped its prestige this Christmas via a collaboration with Clé de Peau Beauté, tasking bar manager Paul Chan to conceive a range of beverages inspired by the Japanese beauty brand’s glam aesthetic. Amongst the five festive drinks (from HKD178 each) on the list, Under the Mistletoe is a stunning highlight. This Monkey 47 gin fizz is accented with lemon and rosemary and showcases the Clé de Peau logo sealed within an oversized ice cube.

8. XX
At Rosewood Hong Kong, swish drinking den XX offers what have to be the most exclusive Christmas tipples on our list. Of the four festive cocktails (HKD180 each) on the menu from Dec. 9, our eyes and taste buds are drawn to the ruby-toned Holiday Harmony, which can be relished alongside the lounge’s live music programme. This drink presents a complex but balanced mingling of Nikka Coffey vodka, Mr Black coffee liqueur, Altos white tequila, oolong tea, vanilla, and milk.

9. Salon Lanson
Salon Lanson’s Campari-infused Christmas drinks are elegant additions to the festive beverage scene in Hong Kong this year. The star seasonal concoction at the Lanson Place bar and restaurant – the gingerbread mulled sour (HKD120) – is the brainchild of head mixologist Manuel Saavedra. This cocktail is a unique variation on mulled wine, here made with a chilled wine base. With no sugar added, both gingerbread and lemon are incorporated into this spiced and tangy cocktail.

10. OZONE
The world’s highest bar at The Ritz-Carlton is getting into the holiday spirit with the launch of an Insta-worthy festive cocktail. OZONE’s Rudolph (HKD208) blends spiced rum, blueberry liqueur, and raspberry purée with lemongrass and ginger syrup and is crowned with a cloud of verjuice-vanilla foam. On the non-alcoholic side, OZONE’s tongue-in-cheek mocktail contribution for Christmas 2025 is I’m Not Rudolph (HKD188), featuring Lyre’s white cane spirit and a house-made spiced tincture in the same charming bespoke glass.

11. The Aubrey
Another swanky hotel bar and restaurant with a view, this time with a Japanese slant, The Aubrey at the Mandarin Oriental has gone all out with its festive offerings this Christmas, and that includes the seasonal cocktails up for grabs. Our pick for imbibing is the matcha eggnog (HKD180), a much lighter and more refreshing take on the holiday table staple. With a base of both whisky and rum, the drink is jazzed up with matcha, yuzu, and a touch of cream.
