For the first time, Henderson Land can unveil the name and details of what they’re building at Central Harbourfront: Central Yards.
Spanning over 1.6 million square feet of gross floor area, Central Yards is leading Hong Kong’s reinvigorated harbourfront space with a never-before-seen type of development in Central.
The development, expected to open in two phases in 2027 and 2032, will include world-class restaurants and bars, “first-to-market retail brands,” a Broadway-calibre theatre, and more than 300,000 square feet of open green spaces, according to a press release shared by Henderson Land.
Phase 1 of the development, according to a press release shared Nov. 18, will span over 300,000 square feet and “introduces a street‐first, promenade‐led environment that seamlessly merges indoor and outdoor realms.”
“Purpose-designed maisons with open terraces and duplex concepts elevate the brand experience, redefining the future retail journey,” the press release continued.
“Deeply rooted in Hong Kong, Central Yards is born from our commitment and love for the city we call home. As a vibrant hub where the treasures of life – nature, culture, joy and ambition come together, Central Yards turns Hong Kong into the world’s grandest stage for future generations,” Dr. Martin Lee Ka Shing, Chairman of Henderson Land, said.
